Good article. BMI is greatly over rated. Overall health without drugs is so much better.

BMI is helpful know, but like anything else, it has to be a part of a WHOLE picture, not the focus. Great article!

I think the BMI can be misleading.

Well, I think considering where you are in a range of BMI is helpful. And commons sense on any measurement is required.

I agree BMI is a 100 year old dinosaur- health not weight.. I have lost 176lbs and if I go to the weight for my height my doctor is threatening to prescribe me all over plastic surgery..
I have undergone 7 operations while lossing weight for removing tumours behind my right ear. The doctors checking my vitals for the operations called me in and congratulated me on improving my health..
I will never be a skinny women- but I don't have to worry about BMI, I am as clean on the inside as a overweight person can get and can out exercise people half my age thats what counts..
The age of our body within... My dad never had problems holding his weight- he was technically underweight- but thin fat.. He ate alot of bad food to hold on to his weight- he died at the age of 65 with the insides of a 90 year old..
