Thanksgiving behind me

Sunday, November 27, 2011

I had a great Thanksgiving. Both my daughters and family were there and my mother. It is always wonderful to be surrounded by family. My daughters are supporting me in my ETL choice. One suggested mash cauliflower instead of mash potatoes and humus as an appiteizer . The other brought anew salad she just had--wheatberry. All was yummy, and I stayed completely on the program. Oh did I mention I ever lost another pound.

I still have more stumbling blocks ahead--Trip to Las Vegas, trip to the in-laws, , stress of Christmas shopping, Christmas --but plan to travel with care. Planning food and taking food with me if needed. Planning exercise. The journey continues and I will make it a happy one.

Lort, this sounds like a wonderful holiday!!
You are doing such a fantastic job, keep it up!!! I am curious what the mashed cauliflower tasted like..... Cauliflower is another vegetable that I "don't think I like" but truly I just remember not liking the smell of it cooking. Of course, those memories are all but gone; I've never had it since leaving my own childhood nest! Maybe I should give it another go...
