I started the Nutrisystem yesterday.
Thought it would be good for my husband as he has 150 pounds to lose and I know this is something that he will stick to.
I'm impressed with it so far. I used their iPhone app to calculate my calories and it came to 1200. I was surprised because it felt like much more.
I think the reason is because I usually don't eat breakfast and go for long periods without eating. With this eating plan you have to eat small amounts often. Of course, that has always made a whole lot of sense to me, in theory, but I never stuck to it long enough to get results. I guess I could be called a yo-yo dieter, but not in the usual way because I haven't changed "diets" often, but I don't eat consistently day to day. My metabolism must be kaput.
So now I have a treadmill, which I love and will do AT LEAST 30 minutes a day on that. I have a curves contract but haven't been in a few weeks because they changed their opening hours. I am going to re-arrange my schedule in the new year to fit it in, because I love curves. That place is awesome. I have a bowflex at home that I will use until then.
Back to the Nutrisystem...
Breakfast - Ham & Cheese Omelette
Snack: Nature Valley Honey Oat bar (Just one of the 2) Not nutrisystem.
Lunch: Margerita Pizza (Just like your average frozen pizzen) Wan't bad.
Snack: Orange Cream Bar (Creamy ice-cream on a stick) I liked it.
Dinner: Asian Beef and Rice. This was really delicious. The meat was really good quality. Possibly the best TV dinner I have ever eaten.
Snack: Yoplait Boston Cream Pie Yoghurt
Breakfast: Whole Grain pancakes. Heated in the toaster... ha ha.... I poured a little maple syrup on them and they were pretty good.
So far so good. I'm just really glad that my husband is on board because I am VERY concerned about his health. Had him watching the Biggest loser for inspiration :D It worked... yay....
