The joy that bounced in my life during an melancholy time

God is so good. He takes and gives, all in His precious time. We don’t always know why or can see the bigger picture. We step out in faith as He carries us in His adoring arms.
As many of you know, I’ve loss 3 out of 4 feral cats due to malevolent neighbors. If you would like to know the details you can read my blog regarding evil people. I hate telling what happened. After Cali passed, I had notice what I thought was a puppy running around. I’ve seen the same dog for almost 3 weeks looking for food, etc. The poor thing would not go up to anyone. My neighbor across the street was leaving and asked me to make sure she didn’t hit the dog. My neighbor is 91 years old, lives alone without any assistance and still drives. After 6 or so tries, the dog finally came to me. She wasn’t a puppy at all. She was a momma dog loose on the streets. I took her in, gave her a bath and immediately took her to the vet. Results were all good, except for a minor yeast infection in her right ear. She weighs 8 pounds and is fully grown. You might consider her a toy dog.
Feverishly my mom and I diligently looked for her owners by looking at the lost dog section, on the internet and so forth. Sadly, we didn’t find her owners.
Happily she has a new home and owner. She’s my Christmas gift and has brought joy back into my life. I strongly feel God sent her to me. Her name is Zoey and she is very much loved. My parents are so in love with her too.
How does this fit into my weekly journey? Well, after much heartache, not eating, basically shutting myself out, Zoey has got me moving. She keeps me on my toes.
God replaced my sorrow with joy. I haven’t forgotten what was done to my kitties. Yes it pains me to think about how they suffered. It’s just not as bad. They will always be in my heart and thoughts.
