productive days...and tracking NO matter what

Friday, January 06, 2012

Yesterday I did 30 mins on one of the hardest resistance work outs on the elliptical, did leg lifts, and 2 reps on the ab lounge. I was also bad and had Arbys for dinner with my best friend...BUT I tracked my foot and still came in under my calorie range despite going over on my fat and sodium in a big way. I need to be able to be honest with myself especially when I am not following my diet plan. I know I am not losing quickly this time around, but I am also working out again which builds muscle which weighs more than fat and I am not upset about the not losing fast. I am also staying away from the wii since it wants me to weigh in daily and I have been advised not to do that.
My kids are all excited because their favorite shows are all coming back on, but to me that just screams sit on our butts and watch television. I do NOT want to do that. So I am back to loving the elliptical or I can't watch certain shows. So far so good. Hubby wanted to take me out to dinner tonight to my favorite place and I know I would overindulge so I lied to him and told him I didn't feel good to avoid going there...bad, I know, but necessary right now.
Some people take a day off from their diet and have a free day...does anyone really do that and see good results? I don't see how that could be a good thing if you are constantly cheating on yourself with foot. This isn't a diet, it's a lifestyle change, I need to change how I eat, how I exercise, how I live my life...and I am just not ready to tempt myself and fall off the wagon again.
