17 day diet

I have never really been one to buy into a gimmicky diet. In the past I have lost weight by eating healthy and killing myself in the gym. Then, I will consciously stop eating healthy and my gym trips become fewer and fewer over time. Surely, this is the age old story of many weight loss journeys! I am determined to break this cycle. I am the kind of person that likes to have a plan. Sometimes, when I have to come up with a plan on my own everything goes awry (See: weight gain). I think I finally found a plan I can stick with!

I started The 17 Day Diet on Monday. I am really liking it so far (still in the honeymoon phase). This diet goes in 4 cycles. The first 3 cycles are all 17 days long (shocker!). The first cycle promotes a low carb diet to flush out sugars and other toxins. Then you move to the second phase where you start to reintroduce more carb intake to confuse your metabolism. I like the plans that are laid out and am determined to stick with it. Stay tuned for some weight loss updates!

Has anyone ever tried this diet before? Any good advice to offer??

    Cathy, I was turned onto it by a friend who had great success with it. It definitely teaches healthy eating!
