All is well

I'm getting settled in my new space. Appointing it as I please with beautiful furniture. It will be a lovely, peaceful setting for me and my kids. They already love it even though all the furniture isn't yet assembled.

I had upgrades made on the apartment to modernize it significantly. I'm worth it!

I don't have a scale yet, but I know for a fact that I've lost even more weight. I'm wearing jeans very comfortably that hadn't fit just a month ago.

My husband is struggling with letting go. He wants reconciliation and says he still loves me. But he does not love me as Christ loves the church. He withholds forgiveness for hurts from years ago and treats me like he is my parent. Marriage is about equal partnership and respect. I'm not getting that from him so I had to get out.

Please keep praying for me.

Would you believe I met with my Methodist pastor yesterday and she absolved me of my sins? Hallelujah. I haven't had time to get in to my parish for confession and counseling yet, so Sarah was my lifeline. Praise God!

A paternalistic partner is not an equal partner. You are so much happier that reconciliation doesn't seem the best choice. Glad you're getting settles and doing it YOUR way.
