The link above is to my first letter I wrote myself to re-read here. I still feel like many of the members new and old still do better than I do and are better examples, BUT, I am working on it.

The plan was to take one habit/week and work on it. I think I started out doing ok with that to an extent. Then I started a new job and going from not working except as needed here and there, to working 40 hours/week doing heavy, hard work on concrete all day, totally wiped me out! I'm STILL not used to it, but hope to soon be functioning outside of work as well. Perhaps, by the time the Spring Challenge starts I will be able to pick the habit of the week and work on it each of the 10 weeks...

Also, I think I did a decent job of facilitating/leading the Limes. I needed help with reports, asked for it and got it! The Limes have become stronger again when it felt like we were fracturing at the beginning of the Winter Challenge. Many of the new members have settled in and been an amazing addition to the team and have been really supportive of ME! That helps sooo much when the team supports its leaders and builds them up as I TRY to do that for them as well! I could not have done it without my co-leaders and team backing me, helping me and supporting me. LIMES ROCK!!!

One last thing... It remains to be seen whether I actually have an overall loss. My weight has gone up and down this season and as of last week, I had a SMALL overall loss, but the scale shall tell all tomorrow. Hopefully, I have an overall loss, if not, I will just have to really work on my healthy habits this Spring and come out with a loss there.

This was a good exercise to see where my mind was 10 weeks ago, I had totally forgotten what was in my letter and to see what went right and what went wrong and it gives me a NEW starting place.

Thanks for reading,
Shan

You are a wonderful leader Shannon! I could not imagine the Limes without you!
I think you are right - once you get into the routine of the job, it will be easier to think and do things and not be consumed by work.
You did good, Shannon! And I know Spring will treat you well!

Well you already know this, but I think you make the Limes a great team. I love our team as a whole but we would be lost without you Shannon. I love being a co-leader with you. (HUGS!)

You will settle into a routine by Spring I'm sure. It's a huge change to add 40 hours of anything into your life!

I think your body will adjust to the work environment. Concrete is hell on the body though so give it time. I don't envy the way you must feel after working so many hours on it.

    Love you girl!

I think you and I are in the same boat with the yo-yo effect this challenge. I finished with an overall gain, I hope you fare better than I did. The important thing is that we learned something about ourselves and are now in a better position to make the most of the spring challenge. By the way, just wanted to let you know, YOU ROCK!!!

I am with you Shannon. I've know you a very long time. You were one of my first spark friends through your mom. Anyways, I've watched you grow in so many ways, just as I think I have. Some may be better examples at some things, or they may appear to show results that you want to see and I want to see, but the body has to heal so many things and we need to make so many changes, that it truly is babysteps. I can't see it any other way. The knowledge that has been give to me that I share, the leadership you provide. One huge huge improvement that you have made is consistency and not giving up and a great leader that only becomes greater. I truly am honored and I still remember my vision and I believe in you. emoticon

I'm proud of you for sticking with it in your challenging new job--while maintaining care of your family & your Lime team! It's a lot to deal with at once.
