Day 38....watching Survivor for years but never seen anything like this....

Thursday, March 08, 2012

it's technically still day 37, but I got around to watching Survivor off the dvr and I am sitting here with my jaw gaping. I have seldom missed an episode of this show in 24 seasons and never have I seen anything quite like this. I can't help but wonder what in the world these people are thinking. My best friend barely watching television but does watch Survivor so I get texts often throughout the show which cracks me up because when we first met he "didn't watch television" but now I'm finding out some addictions are universal. I sat here through half the episode being somewhat dumbfounded. Then the finale just iced the cake. I won't post spoilers for any of you that watch and haven't seen it yet because I HATE it when that happens to me. One of the most interesting and craziest episodes ever, a MUST watch my friends.

Minutes away from getting on the elliptical, going to go win the battle a little bit at a time. I have been posting on my facebook that I won the love/hate battle with it after each of my workouts. I get a lot of encouragement from friends when I make posts like that. I am one of those people that strategically posts flattering photos of myself because I am embarrassed of how big I have gotten. Hardly anyone I went to high school with has any idea how big I am now and I preferred it that way. Now, I'm starting to care less and less because I know that me being this big is temporary. I won't be that "fat" girl anymore, I won't be the one sitting on the sidelines because I'm too big to move with everyone else or too embarrassed I'll look foolish. I didn't bowl for years because I didn't know how and didn't want to make a fool of myself, then I tried it and I really liked it and even bowled on a league for several years. If we stop sitting on the sidelines and take chances we can find so much joy, peace, fulfillment. We all need that! So, I am going to go get on that elliptical and enjoy another 40 minutes of butt kicking, sweaty, fat reducing, muscle building, stress breaking, FUN!

off I go....
