Getting Through This Week

Thursday, March 29, 2012

Ok, so these next two weeks are not so great. In the past two years, we have lost so many people during this time frame (extend another year and add one more person). My grandmother was in February three years ago, but her funeral was postponed to Good Friday because of her wishes to be an organ donor. Two years ago, my mother-in-law died on the day after my husband's birthday, then my grandfather died on Easter. Then, last year, my husband's grandfather died on his (my husband's) birthday, and the wife/grandmother died about two weeks later. Just in time for them to celebrate their anniversary in Heaven. Not to mention the people that died other times in the years, just seemed like most people have died in the last week in March to the second week in April.

On a lighter note, it is spring, a time for renewal, a time to get outside and move! That is my goal for the upcoming week, to get outside and move. Girl Scout meetings will be outside (for the most part), I will be outside gardening more, hanging out the laundry more if it doesn't rain! I have tomatoes, cabbage, and green bell peppers growing and we have to take care of them :) And, if my van ever gets fixed, we are heading to the beach and the zoo! We've been so busy that we haven't been to either place in forever (though living in Florida you pretty much can go anytime during the year).

Well, I'm off to sit all day at work. Ugh, sometimes I wish my externship site could have hired me. I loved working there, I lost ten pounds during the eight weeks I was there. Oh, well, can't complain too much, I've had this job for six years! I work for a pediatrician and most of the kids are great :)

You are so inspiring today because you wrote all that negativity out and still ended on a positive note. Faith like yours is hard won...keep that sunny outlook cause it helps shine that light when times are dark. Oh and I'm new here by the way...on my day 2. emoticon
