Calorie Calculation 101

I searched for information on my recommended calorie intake and goals for losing 2 lbs. a week - I swear, Spark is making it harder & harder to find this information. I just need to stay at this & then I wouldn't have to keep searching for it when I get this bug... Anyway, I found this link, which is really the root of daily recommended calories & calorie burn. My biggest wake-up call here was what I already know:
1 pound = 3500 calories
To lose 2 lbs. a week, I need a deficit of 7000 calories (OR) 1000 calores a DAY!
I really need to get tracking the calories in and be dilligent about my workouts...
I logged my food and exercise today - YAY me :)
I also made it through Day 4 of my PUSH goals... this time around was challenging.
