Stuck. Help!

I am seriously slacking. About a month and a half ago, I moved in with my fiance, two hours away from where I was living before. Since I moved so far, I had to quit my job, and cancel my gym membership. I have been here for six weeks, and still haven't found a job.

Since I don't have a job, I can't afford a gym membership here. Yeah, I know I should be at least going for a walk or run around the neighborhood, or using on of the million workout dvd's I have, but I lack that kind of motivation.

When I had a gym membership before, I was going quite a lot. Even if I wasn't going every day, I was at least going once or twice a week, which is once o twice a week more than anything I do now.

I need a job. Period. Not only for the gym membership, but for everything else as well. My boyfriend eats sh*t food. There is always ice cream, cookies, candy and all sorts of junk in the house. I need my own money so I can pay for healthy stuff.

Just before I moved here, I was probably down to about 177lbs. After a month of being here, I finally got on a scale, and I weighed 183lbs. I can't keep going in this direction. I need help!!

    I know how you feel. It really sucks when you don't control the food in the house. When I was living with my parents all they had was junk food and sweets. I would be trying so hard to eat healthy but they would bring home fried chicken for dinner. It was crazy. Now that I have moved out it is much easier to stay on track unless I am just so tired or something that I slip up and just order a pizza.

    I suggest you talk with him about maybe putting the junk food and healthy food in separate places. Hide the junk food away in a cupboard, and set a bowl of fruit out on the table. Keep the healthy foods in sight. Buy healthier sweets. So when you see his icecream, you have your own version you can snack on. For example the skinny cow ice cream bars are amazing!

    Also, try to find a "Secret" healthy recipe that you both can enjoy. Stuff with hidden veggies in it, and healthy alternatives to classics that still taste amazing.

    I haven't started my exercise rotouine yet. I am focusing on getting my eating habits under control first. I don't know about you but I LOVE tv and movies. Try walking in place or lifting little hand weights while watching your favorite shows. All I have is netflix so this does not work for me, but use the commercials and get up and move. I used to just get up and dance like a crazy person for the commercials haha.

    I know I get bored with workout DVD's so maybe try to memorize some of the moves and find your favorite exercises and do them on your own to your own music.

    I am strugging with motivation also. :( But I am gonna make tiny goals. Like right now I am focusing on my eating. So far so good. You need to forgive yourself for putting on a tiny bit of weight that you had lost. You are going through a tough transition to a new place. You are doing great!

    Go out for those walks. I have been unemployed for 7 months and decided that this is the best time for me to make changes. I have all the time in the world to go for walks or go to the gym or anything else I can for exercise. It sucks not working and can get a little depressing at times. Use this time to better yourself and get healthy.

    Good luck and get out for those walks as they are even more important when you can't always eat the way you should.
