Insanity Day 1 & 2

Day 1 - Fit Test:

It was as hard as I expected it to be, what I didn't expect was to be as sore as I was the day after. I did the fit test on Sunday and was really feeling it come Monday morning. I didn't mind though, I love a good soreness. Makes me feel like there's actually work being done! I also didn't expect to see such large numbers. I plan to post my results here, but I forgot them at home, and I'm at work. Not all the numbers were great, but I have to say I impressed myself, maybe I'm not that bad off after all? Haha, who am I kidding.

Day 2:

I went into day 2 scared, seriously. If the fit test was crazy, I can only imagine what the actual work out is like. I'd done a lot of research on the program so I had an idea of what was coming. Did not prepare me. At. All. Ok maybe a little bit, in the fact that I knew it was ok to stop, rest, pause, breathe, if I needed it... and I totally did. I didn't feel bad taking an extra minute or two break during the "water breaks" because I felt that with the extra break it gave me enough recovery time to power through the next section. I'm not saying it was easy. It wasn't. I thought I was going to die. But it felt good to pour sweat, to feel my muscles burn, and it even felt good to scream at Shaun T. "You're F***ing CRAZY!!!!" I can definitely feel it today. I knew when I was sore LAST NIGHT from the work out only hours before that today was going to be rough. When I got out of bed the morning I felt like I was waddling. Good times!

    I'm going to start this week. I'm nervous. It sounds like you're doing great! I just started back to Spark and have been working out at the gym this week. I hate going to the gym because I have to put my 5 month old in the daycare there. I just hate that. Good luck! I'll watch your progress and will post when I start Insanity this week. Anyone know roughly how long the workouts are? I'm just trying to gauge whether I can do this during his naps or when he's awake. Thanks!

    Hahaha, I know what you mean about screaming at the TV. I do it too and my fiance just laughs at me.

    I'm restarting Insanity tonight. I was supposed to finish the program a few weeks ago but had a few bumps in life lately and decided that instead of finishing my last 2 weeks after taking 3 weeks off I should probably just restart.

    Good luck, each week gets easier as you get stronger. Until you get to month 2, then you feel like you're starting over. But its all worth it. I'm excited to start over.

    Insanity is awesome! :D The first week I was so sore! But then I wasn't sore anymore until the first week of month 2... and then not sore again after that. Seems to be a pattern for Insanity doers :) Keep up your good work!
