Insanity Day 4 & 5

An update! I'm pretty sure day 4 aka Cardio Recovery is my favorite day so far in the Insanity workout. That could just be the lazy in me talking though. It really is a recovery, and a much needed one. It was 30 minutes of stretching basically... well almost. I loved it though. Might I had that it was by no means "easy" just "easier" the poses, the burning, the sweat still dripping, it was a work out for sure, but after I felt so good, and the soreness from the previous days has subsided mostly.

Day 5, Pure Cardio... or what I like to call Pure Hell. It was the most insane workout so far. Absolutely. Insane. I kept up with the video a lot more than I thought I would be able to. That in itself made me feel good. I feel like I can already tell a difference in my stamina and ability, even after only a few days. I'm pushing myself harder and getting through more and more of it. Even though there's technically no "breaks" in Pure Cardio, I definitely had to take some, which is fine, because I promise you, when I was laying on the floor trying to catch my breath, there was at least one person on the screen doing the same thing.

I have to say so far, I really love Insanity, as insane as it is. I think it's just what I've been looking for. I mean, I'm pretty crazy myself, so I think it's a good fit. I love the fast pace, the constantly changing exercises, the sweat literally dripping off me... I even like Shaun T, he's like that nutty physical trainer that you love to hate and sometimes want to punch in the face. Just saying. That said, I feel great, I feel like my clothes are already fitting different, and I can't wait to see the results in a few weeks!

On a food note, I haven't been following any particular diet, but I've been working on balancing my meals, protein and veggies and staying away from the processed carbs. So far so good!

    LOL you sound just like me. Cardio Recovery was my favorite and Pure Cardio I hated. Then I got to Month 2 and Max Cardio was my favorite. Go figure.

    I'm starting Insanity over for my 2nd time (on Day 4 today) and knowing what Month 2 is like I'm really paying attention to the workouts now and trying to decide if I still hate some as much as I did or if I like them now. Right now undecided.

    You are all doing so great! This program really is awesome. It's nice to see others who are in the same week I am this time around.

    I think Pure cardio is my favorite :) it's CRAZY! The recovery workouts are great! But man the squats and lunges kill my legs!

    I love hearing from people that are doing the workout too! We are on the same day! I do day 6 tonight when I get home! I'm kind of scared! But I'm also looking forward to seeing how I do compared to day 2! I plan to keep updating along the way, it helps with my accountability! Haha.

    I think we started Insanity about the same time. I just did my 6th workout this morning (which is another attempt at Plyometric Cardio) and I will completely agree with you that Pure Cardio was completely INSANE! But...I guess that is why the program is called Insanity. I really love it too though. Even though I have been collapsed on the ground a few times myself. I think this morning it may have been more than a few. By the last round of Level 1 Drills, Ski Abs, and In & Outs, I was face first on the floor multiple times.....
    Good luck on your journey. I may keep track of how you are doing so I can keep myself motivated, if you don't mind?
