Sneaky Sabotage

Sunday, May 13, 2012

I have been thinking about someone I work with. She has been on Jenny Craig for over a year now.. and lost 48lbs (which I think is fantastic!) But she is not having alot of luck with eating in real life.. which is why I refuse to try anything that regimented.
This woman lost consistently for about.. 8 months or so.
And then came to land on a huge plateau.
Exercise..not her thing
There are 3 other people working on their health right now (I am one) and we dont really discuss it too much at work. Some conversations..but not too many.
I have noticed this past two weeks.. frozen eclairs arriving and "noone" knows how they got there.. cookies and cake.. muffins and chocolate. Everyday there is something that "lands" on the staff room table..but noone has any idea how.
On Friday.. she came into work. We were the only two in the office that day. And she arrives with a "triple triple" from Tim Hortons.. coffee with triple cream and triple sugar. I have never ordered that... I am not that big of a cup of cream with coffee added.
And then she went about filling a dish in the staff room with various chocolates etc.. I discovered her at the end of the day.. sneaking around all quiet like.
I startled her popping into the staff room.
"OMG! You scared me! I thought you went home!" she said...
"Yes. I imagine you did... sneaky saboteur." I thought .. I didnt say a peep.
I emptied my locker..pretended I saw nothing..but it made me laugh (inside my head)
We will see if next week has mysterious treats appearing like magic... I will know who the culprit is

It's too bad she is so insecure and threatened by other people's eating plans! If she isn't successful with the one she is on, she should seek a solution rather than trying to undercut yours. I just don't understand people sometimes! I'm so glad that you figured out who was bring in the treats. Now you can consider the source and ignore them just like you did this time! Way to go!

Wow, that's pretty fun and pretty sad all at the same time.
