Today, May 15th, is my One Year Anniversary with Spark people.com!

It has been an interesting and challenging journey and I especially want to say

to all my

s who have written on my blogs and or given me feedback during this past year!
Originally, I set my goal for a loss of 70 pounds, which would have moved me from my start of 211 to 141. Since reaching that

, I have reset my goal in terms of a healthy BMI of 23 point something. Today, I'm aiming for a weight of about 136 pounds, with the aim of never going above 140 longer term.
I find I am in a different stage now in terms of trying to be a bit more balanced with living life. I feel very fit, but the psychology of maintaining a healthy weight is as yet unknown to me

and a bit scary! Let me explain... Like any one of us who have worked so hard to "get here" , I don't want to regain any weight or loose my current level of fitness. At the same time I am fully aware that the eating monster is alive and well within me! My need to always be alert to it can be very tiring. So if any of you reading this have any ideas about how to manage this next stage I'd really appreciate hearing from you!
I will keep you posted. If you have reached your goal and maintained it for some time, I'd like to know how you did it. There are days, more frequently now than in my earlier part of this journey, where I just want to hang my hat up, so to speak, and go on holiday!
I thought I would be "over the top" today.. but instead, I feel a bit subdued and quiet... knowing that the journey is never really to end. Any thoughts dear readers?
