Okay it has been about 8 years since i have stepped foot in a gym!! So they opened a gym about a 5 minute walk from our house a few weeks ago and when I passed by the other day I stopped in to inquire about prices..$40 US per month or $15 per week. I opted to do the one week first to see how I feel working out there. So I went today and they put me on the treadmill first. I really wanted to laugh as she started me walking at 3mph....I can do that in my sleep. So as soon as she left me I cranked it up to 4.5 for the warm up then gradually upped it more every 5 minutes and increasing the incline as well. I wasn't sure what to expect....were they going to work me out or was I on my own after. I finished and she motioned me to follow her and she started me on an machine to strengthen my lower back and after I started she left and another guy came and introduced himself and he continued training me. I was really happy as since it has been awhile a refresher is always helpful. He worked me out good on 13 different machines!! He worked upper/lower/core. I know I will be sore tomorrow!! At the end he had me lay down on a mat and did a relaxation session. But it was hard to relax as he kept talking to me in spanish and english(I live in Mexico so I always expect to talk in spanish, but always get the few who want to practice) so when he would speak in english I would giggle!!
All in all it was an awesome workout!! I think I will like it there and he told me that we would talk nutrition on Monday- Small gym with full service!!
It is funny that I lost all the weight at home and now I am using the gym to tone and gain strength. I also plan to start the c25k on the treadmill. I am also excited to use the stairmaster!!
It is such a wonderful feeling to be done after leaving the gym. My time to workout will be in the morning so it will be a great feeling to workout in the a.m. and be done for the day!!
I know this is also going to be awesome for my eating.....why pay to workout and them gorge on sweets or chips!! My plan is to track daily and to blog my workouts and food for the day!! Acountability!!
