Great Boot Camp Workout Yesterday! in 90 degree heat

Sunday, May 27, 2012

Yesterday was Week 3 of Boot Camp. It was 90 + degrees yesterday. Mercifully our trainers had part of our stations in the shady area. It was still hard to push yourself in the heat. The sun has a way of zapping your energy. I was a little late so I missed the warm up, however when I got there they were doing our first set of body resistance strength training in a very fun way. One of the trainers was standing a distance away holding about 10 or so cards with an exercise on it. One of us had to run to get a card and run back to join the group and then we would all do it together. It was a fun way to get that first set done. Then we did our stations with some different exercises. It was so much harder this week in the heat. I even started seeing a blurry spot and started to lose peripheral vision. I felt fine, but it was weird. I've never had that before. I asked a paramedic who was there with wife who is part of our group. He said that was normal...it was the heat! So as soon as we got done, after I caught my breath and cooled down some, it went away.
I am looking forward to my at home workouts this week. I'm going to use that idea about writing down my exercises on index cards. I think I'll have my daughter hold them for me and run to her and get one and then do the exercise. She will love it! She loves to grab the little weights and "workout" with me. It's so cute to see her exercise with me.

I'm looking forward to a successful week. I'm starting to see a difference in my muscle tone, so that always motivates me to work harder! I'm also going to work harder on my food choices and tracking. I bought a lot of veggies to snack on at the grocery store this week. Looking forward to an awesome week!!

Good job! That must have been really hard to do in that heat! I found this post to be very inspirational!
