30 Days on FA

I can't believe it but I made it through my first 30 days in the FA program. Despite my reservations, it wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be to give up flour and sugar! I don't know if my not having the urge to graze non-stop at night is gone because of my mental commitment to lose weight or if the addictive nature of flour and sugar is no longer in play. What I do know is that I haven't done it and at this point the why doesn't matter.
What has been extremely helpful is the support I receive from both the FA members and some Spark Friends. Without their motivation and words of encouragement the journey would have been much harder.
I am beginning to finally feel that I can control the food, even though it may require the drastic action of giving up flour and sugar. Now I face the daunting task of having to face and deal with the issues that I have been using the food to suppress. Perhaps this scares me even more but, again, I have a strong support system and am as committed to it as I am to the weight loss.
Bring it on!
