Running and Throwing Up at the Gym!! :)

Okay I have switched to evening cause I just don't have much energy in the morning and really not enough time to eat before heading to the gym. SO today I had an awesome workout!! I did my warm up and then ran for 2 walked for 1 and the last ten minutes I ran for 4 and walked one and then ran the last 5 minutes!! I was a sweaty mess but felt so AWESOME after!! Then I hit the eliptical for 30 minutes...cardio day!!

OKAY now for the throwing up part..NOT ME...They have a new trainer as of today and while I was on the eliptical 3 guys walked in for their workout. I hvae seen them in there before and they are in decent shape. WELL, this trainer said he was going to work them out tonight. So he gets them started doing some warm ups including a boxing shuffle, jumping jacks, push-ups then some ab work. Nothing too hard. Half way through 2 guys were going to get bottles of water and looked as if they were about to die. They guy behind the desk was laughing as well as I!! All of a sudden one of the guys runs into the bathroom to throw up. He came back out and they got him a coke to drink and had him sit down to rest!!! I will just say that I was very amused during my workout!! emoticon

I think I will have to give this guy a try as he seems like he knows a bit more than the other guy...more intense. I mean if the gym's name is Xtreme Fitness they need to live up to the name...right?????

Does anyone go to the gym first thing in the morning...and if so what do you eat before you go. I would have only an hour from when I got up til I would leave!! Any suggestions would be awesome!!

    I workout in the morning. If it's a 60-90 min I won't eat anything before. I eat a full breakfast as soon as I finish. If it is going to be more than 90 min, then I eat at least 150 calories before and stick with a carb/protein mix -not dairy. A piece of toast or banana with peanut butter is my usual. If I'm in a hurry I will eat a Clif or Luna bar. On days when I also have an evening workout, my afternoon snack (4pm) is usually sufficient for a 5:30 workout, but I will have a small snack to munch in the car on the way home so I am not famished while cooking dinner (because then I start snacking and that's never good).

    I work out in the morning because I really don't have any other time to do it. But, when I do go to the gym in the evening/afternoon, I always have more energy and can work harder than in the morning.

    i like a morning workout if possible makes me more energetic but not always possible depending on what time i have to be at work. I try to eat something that has some protein in it that sticks with me but not over stuffs me. Keep up the great work!

    I usually grab a yogurt before a morning workout. I've switched to Greek yogurt, so it's a nice package of protein and carbs to keep me from feeling empty without that "weighed down" feeling my usual oatmeal gives me.

    I am experimenting to switch my exercise to the morning, or do two short sessions, one in the morning, one in the evening.

    The reason is to have a good start for my day, energetic. Then everything runs better during the day.

    To sign up for the local gym is on my to do list for very long. They only work by phone-appointment, and somehow this prevents me to get there.

    I prefer to work out as soon as I wake up, so I don't eat anything before working out. If I am doing a long run, I might eat a Power Bar 30-45 minutes before. When I am doing long workouts (like a class at the gym and then running), I sometimes eat a banana between workouts.

    I prefer to workout before I eat but not an option right now. My workouts are in the evening. NOT my favorite time. emoticon I wake at 4 so by 8 when it is cool enough to run I'd rather be lazy. emoticon No being lazy though.
