Okay, I have to admit that my sparkfriends saved whatever little sanity I have left. (smiling)
Yesterday's blog pondered how I could gain 6 lbs in two days. Whew, great feedback by all. And very helpful in reality-basing me.

Now, one day later, 3 lbs down. What have I learned? NOT TO WEIGH-IN DAILY! (which I have never done before) As sparkfriend JLITT wrote, daily would indeed drive me crazy.

So, I'll be back to weekly weigh-ins and have set the date for a week from Monday. Starting June 18 weigh-in, there will be weekly only.

Thanks to all for your supportive responses. Have a happy weekend.

I'm a daily weigher...and a daily obsessor..sigh! emoticon emoticon I know that fluctuations occur so I've taken a "the scale is a big fat lier' and move on.

Yikes What a roller coaster ride for you, I wish I could view the numbers on the scale like other numbers, but somehow that scale imposes self worth into those numbers. It is amazing that hidden salt can cause temporary gains.
You are doing great in taking care of you no matter what the scale says.

Something to think about, when you weigh in weekly - Do you always weigh yourself around the same time of day?

Weight fluctuates so much throughout the day. If you're always keeping it around the same time it helps make a better comparison.

I always weigh myself in the morning, after I go to the bathroom lol. This way it's always the same time with the same amount of food in my and hopefully the most comparable time of day for myself =]

It can be rather frightening to have a daily up or down of several pounds. Try to make the weekly number crunching something to look forward to. emoticon emoticon

Congrats on the 3lbs down already; and the other 3 will soon follow!

I weigh in daily due to directions from my doctor, due to my having heart failure. And, for me it seems to work really well; mostly because I have a bio-impedance scale that shows how much water vs fat I have on board. I know when I don't weigh in regularly that it gives me 'permission' to live in denial and eat anything I want. Even having the scale I regularly eat the wrong things, but the scale is a constant reminder to 'keep myself in check'.

Some people like to weigh daily & don't get thrown for a loop by the fluctuations . . . but they really are normal. Which is why I got rid of the scale so long ago . . . but I've become really sensitive to how my clothes fit.

Weekly weighing is a good plan.
