Week 5 Day 30

-Are you a vegan or a vegetarian?


I am happy to say that I'm an.... Omnivore!!!

I could NOT be a vegan or a vegetarian.. And i hate to say this, but I'm not even sure what the difference is between the two..

However, during Lent this year, I gave up meat for 40 days.. It was probably the hardest thing I have had to do with my weightloss journey so far.. I love meat way too much to give it up for good.. (I also gave up cheese at this same time and it was VERY hard!)

I have nothing against people who chose to be vegan or vegetarian. And hopefully they have nothing against me for choosing to eat meat and all kinds of it..

    The difference is there are different kinds of vegetarians (ovo-lactos eat eggs & milk products, pescivegetarians(?) eat fish), but the focus is basically on not eating things directly made of meat. Vegans avoid things that have any animal products (any baked good that have milk as an ingredient, things with gelatine, etc. Some won't even eat honey!

    I hear you! I could and have reduced my meat intake. But I just have to have pepperoni and cheese on a pizza! LOL emoticon
