It's easy to fool a 4 year old!!!
Saturday, July 21, 2012
I keep trying to get my 4 year old GS to try new foods. Got him to try 2 new foods
this past week. We were on vacation in Tennessee and went to the Cumberland
Mountain State Park in Crossville. On Tuesday they have a Seafood Buffet with
the usual fried catfish, breaded shrimp, cold boiled shrimp, crab legs and frog legs.
(I know, but we were on vacation with the grandkids.)
Put a Hush Puppy on his plate and told him it was Tennessee Cornbread. Since he
likes corn bread he tried it and liked it.
I picked up a Frog Leg and shared it with him. Told him it was a special kind of chicken.
Each time I gave him another bite I said, "Ribbit". The GD thought it was funny and I shared some with her also. It wasn't too bad, really tasted like chicken and he said he liked it.
Now to get back to the healthy eating, before we leave in 5 more days on another trip.
