The last one....

The last one (GK) is off to school today. He will be 5 on Aug 15th and he started Kindergarten today. New experiences, bigger school (he started in pre-school at a local church when he was 2), new friends and a bus ride in the morning. Will take my camera and take pics of him when he gets home today and record his thoughts of his first day.

Grand-daughter is starting middle school today and the almost 14 year old is in 8th grade.
New experiences all around. The middle schoolers usually get hit pretty hard with homework right off the bat. GS was doing homework till 11PM when he was in 6th grade.

My days are free until it's time to pick the little one up from school. Thought it would be better to pick him up, rather to count on him getting off the bus at the right stop. Some neighbor kids get off at the same stop, but peace of mind ruled on this one.

Have to arrange my daily meals so that we do our main meal at 1:30PM and eat lighter in the evening, since I won't get back home from DD till about 6:30PM.

Have a Sparking day fellow Sparkers.

It is very exciting to see them off to school. I have one starting K this year also. She is the youngest of 3. The others girls are 1st grade and 2nd grade this year. It sure is fun to watch each of the develop their own learning methods! Enjoy the day, GM!!

How exciting for all of you. I like the idea of a main meal in the afternoon. There is that old saying: "Eat breakfast like a king, Lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper". This always made sense to me, but around here we just don't/can't follow this.
Have a wonderful first day of school and enjoy the moments. emoticon
