So yea. Triple-H won --- Heat, Hormones, and Headache.
It's not so much that I was in the heat. I wasn't. I went from a/c'd building to a/c'd car to a/c'd house. While I'm not a big fan of being hot, I'm not so thrilled with being in a/c all blessed day, either. I was mostly over the grumples from Tuesday, but not completely. I'd developed a headache.. one of those kinds that you get when you don't get enough sleep and nothing seems to soothe it? Yea, that kind.
I made it through my day without spooning anyone.. heh.. and then once I got home, I whipped up a throw together dinner - 4 cups cauliflower, 3 cups of broccoli, one 12 oz can of roast beef, 1/2 cup of bok choy, some chicken broth and some olive oil, finished off with lemon pepper and lemon juice. It was very yummy, filling, and low-calorie. Bill had combined champagne grapes (impulse buy at Costco) with honey greek yogurt, so I had some of that for dessert/snack, and then the man took pity on me and sent me to bed. At 7:00 pm. I went, gratefully, and fell asleep pretty quickly.
It must have been what I needed because I woke up pretty well this morning. The headache is gone, TOM is abating, and it's going to be hotter'n sin today and tomorrow, reaching 100+. I have a gameplan in mind for hitting the basement for another DVD session after work, and another stir-"fried" dinner of veggies and chicken for dinner.
I may have been knocked down, but I'm not out.
