I survived a spinning class and lived to tell about it!

Yesterday my good friend Beth and I decided to try our hand at a spinning class at our local gym. I personally felt (maybe Beth felt the same way?) that since we had been cycling outside in the good weather, then this class might be a piece of cake...or at least a half. Let me set the stage for you. One teacher, five participants. Age ranges from 26 to 65+. Four women and one man (he was an older gentlemen sporting appropriate biking shorts). I had my heart rate monitor and ended up burning 450+ calories within 40 minutes of the class. My god! My quads were BURNING! As I looked into the mirror, I realized that even though it sucked, I was exhausted and I realized that I was still attaining my athletic ability, I was proud to have gone to the class at all AND didn't need to leave for feeling ill and I didn't yack(!) and I am proud that Beth still wanted to go even after I told her I threw up the first class I went too :D Today, a day after, I am happy to say that really only the bottom portion of my body is sore (which is good because the first time I did a spinning class, my shoulders hurt so bad from keeping them tight while in position two and three)
Tonight I am going back to the gym to work my back, chest and my arms! Boy, does it feel good to feel good (and sore)!
