I've been doing bootcamp for 6 weeks now and hadn't really pushed myself to run run. Our group does running segments on most Monday's and Wednesday's. Back in March of this year, I was dealing with pinched nerves in my back. It took almost 4 months to clear up and I wasn't allowed to exercise at all for 2 months in beginning. Bootcamp is doing wonders for me now. My back was bothering me a little when I started bootcamp, but nothing now. Body feels GREAT!!!
A few days ago the bootcamp instructor asked if anyone wanted to do a 5K. It's our half way point, so why not?! My goal was to run from start to finish and I DID IT!!! I completed the race in 34:27, and was 6th out of 14th in my age group. Our group is going to do another 5K in November, the Saturday after we complete bootcamp...Today most of us wore Bridge Creek shirts, next race we are wearing our bootcamp shirts!! Can't wait!! And, I'm SO going to beat my time!!
