Goals for Oct.

Tuesday, October 02, 2012

My Goals for October are simple and basic. This is what I need right now.

Drink 6/ 8 cups of water a day.

Cut dt. drinks to no more than 2 per day.

Exercise 15 minutes 6 days a week. 30 will be better & fantastic
I will settle for 10 if that's all I can manage. ;)
Main objective: TO MOVE!

Stop making excuses. Unless I can't get out of bed because of pain...then there
is no excuse.

Measure portions: My digital scales and measuring cups are back on the counter.

It was good to have some positive results on my blood work. Things are slowly starting to come together health wise and I have every intention of staying on this path. emoticon

So, it's nearly the end of October. How have you done with your goals for the month? I admire you for actually posting your goals; I'm not there yet, but I hope you have been able to meet every one of them.

Here's to a wonderful end of October and a new and exciting November. Success to us all.

Tomorrow will be day 3 for me. I'm back. Let's do this thing! I'm with you, Little-2-Bean! We'll do it together, one day at a time. See you tomorrow! I tracked my food for 2 days and fully intended to exersize but didn't..haha. (so much for good intentions) Tomorrow I am going to do my one mile walk tape/Leslie Sansone...I don't even care if I only make it a half-mile, I'm gonna do it. I don't have to like it, right?..haha I just have to do it! Little by little, we'll make it! Hope you come online tomorrow and do this with me. I can't do it without you! xoxox emoticon

There's that motivation - seeing the numbers looking better. Makes you realize you aren't doing it just to "look sexy again". There are true health benefits that sometimes show up even before we lose the first pound.

And I know what you mean about only doing 10 minutes. Sometimes when the pain is so miserable, I move out of the bed and find something to get me moving. Even if it's just touching my toes. I try to strengthen my back and legs out some as we get stiff from sleeping.

Usually I am able to move after about 5 minutes of stretching. However, this does come from being in bed for 2 hours just unlocking my joints and trying to stretch out. So I know where you are coming from. Just know that eventually you will feel better after exercising.

Keeping it simple, and acheivable, is a nice plan. Everything you listed are simple things you can do, in some cases, in a manner of seconds emoticon I like to remind myself that change comes as a result of lots of tiny actions and little choices, not some huge difficult task to be undertaken all the time, all at once. emoticon

Lisa getting back to basics is always a great way to go.
You have set some goals for yourself that are reachable and even set a couple challenges too.
I am with you, keep moving and not giving up,you will reach the goals your have set. Keep trying.
I am here for you always.

Oh Lisa, you can do it!! Just think of the real reason why you wanted to do this and have SP help you and then it'll all start coming together and you'll have the mind-set to do it! Right now I have to re-condition my mind to set it once again in the direction it needs to be so that I can reach my goal too! Go for it! emoticon emoticon
