Stopping in to touch base

Wednesday, October 17, 2012

I haven't forgotten you all my dear friends. Nate is slowly getting worse I am sad to report. We are still hopeful once he starts his dialysis he will start to feel better. His surgery was delayed because he caught the flu. Hopefully he will be well by the next surgery date. He has lost 30 lbs in two months with no effort, very scary. All we can do is try to do what the Drs tell us and hope for the best. His spirits will be lifted considerably though because his sidekick aka Grandson Nick will be coming out to stay with us for Fall break this week.

I have been down with an awful bout of the flu but today was an improvement. It helped me lose a couple of pounds but it's easy to lose weight when you can taste anything, now it's a matter of building back my strength again. I'm glad we will both be over it before company arrives.

It's been crazy busy at home these days. Getting ready to have more family here again this weekend too. I'm so excited to see them again. My favorite Aunt and Uncle will be coming down back from their Summer stay in Minnesota. They are like birds they live on Galveston Island during the Winter months, must be nice ;o) I would love to follow them back. My oldest Daughter and my Grandbabies will also be here which is such a joy too. I haven't seen my littlest Grandson Christian in over a month and a half and I'm having withdrawals.

Well that's it for now. Take care~Jules

So sorry things are not improving with your husband. Hopefully you will both get over the flu, and the surgery will take place. That is a lot of stress to be going through. Enjoy your family visits, there is nothing like family to give you strength. Healing prayers to you and your husband. Keep us posted on his progress. emoticon emoticon
