Baby Boomers, again.

Monday, December 03, 2012

Strange--I heard another "talking point politics" bash--another 2+2=$5,689! The common talk is about how baby boomers are now retiring--ending their contributions to the Federal pot and starting to remove money from it. OK, so the big spenders have been their parents, with Social Security on top of good pensions, little support for immigration control, beaurocracies over everything including nature, Medicare for decades, huge prison building projects and laws that filled them, and tolerance of their elected age-mates who have pampered themselves at the expense of the needs of the whole nation.

Next, I hear that the baby-boomers are starting to notice the debauchery of THE BABY BOOMER's excesses via the HUGE national debt!!!!!!!!!

Crazy thing is that the reporter did not laugh his head off as he spoke those words!!!!!!!!!!

We are working to be healthier and that certainly helps with health care cost.

If I work and earn a dollar, I think it is up to me where my money goes, not the government. I also don't think it is the responsibility of the rich to keep having their hard-earned income stolen from them by the government to redistribute to someone who doesn't want to work. I do agree that the government needs SOME money to protect us and build roads, but all the social programs need to be cut.

It is so important to remember that 30 years ago,
baby boomers were asked to pay the largest tax
in history when Reagan and O'neil passed
legislation to increase payroll taxes in a move
that was to fix the future problem with the
    generation's future retirement needs.

The only problem was the same president and
Congress choice to cut other taxes and fund
the government with the Social Security Fund.
Other presidents and congresses have followed
this charade. And now nobody wants to pay back
the borrowed trillions. It is so much easier to blame
the victims of the theft, than ask the rich to pay
the taxes that they have been avoiding.

This is the largest theft in history. Do let others
    know this fact.

I do not think the baby boomers created the debt. The previous generation who reveled in the collections of our money to support their interests have wasted the boomers money. Now they want to blame us for their mishandling. They spent the surpluses from the past on wars etc instead of saving our money to pay us-now. The biggest offenders are the rich who when they came up with IRAs and 401K's knew that those instruments would end their need to provide pensions so they can get richer instead. They also did not train anyone on how to use those features. Instead they found ways to steal those funds as well. The baby boomers are not the problem.

Are we retiring? That was the plan, but I don't see it happening; all around me "baby boomers" are seeing their savings wiped out. We'll all be Wal-mart door greeters soon!!!
