Dec 4 ...Advent Homes

Tues Dec 4 ♫I'll be home for Christmas if only in my dreams...♫ In my collection of homes decked out for Christmas, I looked for common threads among them and realized the ones I really like have common threads...some part of them looks like a home I have had in my life sometime, most have snow [I am from the Canadian border of Washington state and we have snow most Christmases] most have lighted windows and many have smoke coming from the chimney, trees in the window and a mother figure standing on the porch or watching out the window.
What does this have to do with Jesus? There was no room in the inn for his birth, and no place for Him to lay his head as he grew up. But he had a mother who kept all these things and pondered them in her heart.
I think this fits me as sit in my nice, warm home, I ponder things of the Lord and life in my heart and watch with anticipation and faith and hope.
