I am giving shakes a try. For two weeks I can only have shakes and veggies, certain veggies, non-carb bearing veggies. If you look at my nutrition tracker, you will see that I haven't been 100% compliant. I have popped things in my mouth everyday... and that is likely why I am not losing as fast as I should be with only shakes. I am down a half pound in 4 days, which is still good, but not what I was thinking would happen. This diet is the same as a friend has been on for 4 months and has lost 100 pounds so far. You start the first two weeks with just shakes then add in low carb meals. I have been searching the web for low carb meals that appeal to me and that are easy to make. I love egg beaters omelettes with veggies, chicken, shrimp... all of that. I love soup too, veggie soup, so that will be good :) My goal is to eat low carb but not high in fat.
IN addition to my eating, I am still training for the half marathon in February. That is only 10.5 weeks away and I am so afraid I won't be able to do it. Last night I did 2.1 miles and that just isn't enough. I got derailed in my training and now with it cold out, it isn't helping matters. I need to get to at least 10 miles by the 10th week. I am hoping to add in some running as well. I am training at a pace of 15m/m. So that should be good, but I need that longevity. Hoping..
