Today I took my first yin yoga class. I sometimes dislike yoga classes. Too many skinny bodies, too much comparison and too much weight talk. Not this one! The class was done using the wall as a prop. I have stiffness, probably from arthritis, in my hips. After this class I was more flexible and had less discomfort.
Lesson learned? All yoga classes are not alike! Find an instructor whose teacher style appeals to you and seek out the kind of yoga that most benefits your body.
I'm glad I did!
