Hang in there! Marriage is tough but what a blessing to know that God is definitely FOR the success of your marriage! One book I read a few years ago that made such a huge difference in the way I view marriage is "Sacred Marriage" by Gary Thomas. The subtitle is "What if God designed marriage to make us holy more than to make us happy?" Certainly God desires for us to experience joy and fulfillment in our marriage, but I believe that the Scriptures reveal an even greater purpose that makes the challenges a little "easier" to bare. I'll be praying for ya girl. I can't imagine how exhausting and stressful life must be with 7 kids!

I think the hardest part of marriage for me is learning to allow my husband to make decisions...and submitting to him. After I became a Christian, God put this in my heart to work on. I was so used to "running the family" for 13 years but after trial and error, I think I finally have it down. It was so difficult for me to allow him to make important decisions and he made mistakes but after it was all said and done, my stress levels went down and a whole different door opened for me. Slow process but so worth it!

It is a growing process and lasts a life time but the rewards are well worth the effort...

emoticon If marriage were easy there would be no divorces. May God bless your union and may your differences become strength, Earl

it's not meant to be easy - people are constantly evolving and it's a constant challenge to work together - you're doing great!
