I work at a school, and the faculty had planned for a baby shower for me last week, but unfortunately I've been on bed rest (plus my work is a 45 min drive away) so i told them I couldn't come :( But they still collected gifts for me. I had my husband go pick up the gifts and they had so much stuff for me that it barely fit into his car. I was so excited. We got a pack-n-play (one of those portable cribs), a lot of diapers, wipes, baby wash/shampoo, a sun shade for my car, a bottle warmer, a diaper bag, a ton of baby clothes, a gift card, and lofs of other stuff that I can't even remember right now. I'm so lucky to work with such generous people. They have really been there for me through all this, even though I complained about their advice...I know that they were just giving it out of concern for me.
Everything else is going well. I've been reading a ton...it's basically all I do these days. In the past week I've read "Sh!t my dad says", "Silver Linings Playbook", "Hopeless" by Colleen Hoover, and "The Pact" by Jodi Picoult. I'd have to say all of them were really good. My husband got me a secondhand Nook a few weeks ago and it was the best gift EVER. It has really helped me keep my sanity while being in bed for the past week.
And my blood pressure was down at my last appointment. This baby gets to stay in a little longer...but now that I'm relieved that she gets to finish cookin', all I can think about is getting her out! lol
