I Feel like I'm falling

Well last Sunday I participated in my first 5K, Felt really great. Now to my real situation. Feel like I'm losing all the momentum I had. Still exercising a lot but the eating part is where it is a problem. As my walking mileage and time went up i increased the calories I was eating. Not a problem but what I was eating was or is the problem. Sweets and lots of carbs. I know i need to change this but finding it very hard to do. the want is there but the give a sh*t factor is not . Still kinda depressed over the relationship this still too. This is all tied together i know just cant figure how to move on and get past it. could go on but wont just now.

    I've had a sweet tooth for as long as I can remember! What's really helped me lately has been stevia. It hits the sweet spot in a low calorie way -- I'll sometimes put it in yogurt, tea, homemade cocoa mix, etc. Wishing you much success emoticon

    You can and will do it, so come on now start today put what you ate last week behind you, you cannot change that but you can start changing from today. Most important of all TRACK EVERYTHING you will be spending so much time working out and tracking food you wont have time to eat your sweets! But like Batchick said, we are allowed to have treats. You can still lose weight whilst having treats. Perhaps try eating 3 smaller meals a day with 2 snacks inbetween, so that you are never fully hungry.

    I hear your pain and frustration. Do you belong to any type of group where you meet on a regular basis? There are some free support groups for various things at Waterman Hospital in Tavares. You might want to check them out. Sometimes we just need someone to be a sounding board to get us back on track. I will be praying for you and your situation and I have a private ear if you liked to use it sometime.

    Life events can sidetrack us, can't they?! Sometimes in this journey we just (JUST?) need to go back to the beginning; revitalize the journey. Start anew, without looking at mistakes or slips as anything but what has value: they are lessons.

    I've been trying to crowd out the junk with healthy foods. I don't say "you can't have that choicolate" I say you can have that chocolate but you have to eat this apple first. Then I don't have room or time for the chocloate, or I do. Either way it has helped me eat better without feeling deprived.
