I have been dealing with a plateau for over a month! I keep loosing and gaining the same 2 lbs. It is driving me crazy!

I keep reminding myself of how far I have come. It's not easy to loose 125lbs. I'm doing so much more now than I've ever been able to do.

I plan to keep on running, weight training, etc. and hope that I can break this plateau. I want to loose at least another 20lbs, but would prefer 40lbs.

How do you deal with and break plateaus?

When I hit a plateau I did everything that was suggested.. only drank water (GAVE UP ENERGY DRINKS) emoticon , started using a FOOD scale again, changed up the exercise, ATE MORE, and low and behold.. got past the plateau.

I usually wait 1-2 months. If things don't change, I start changing my routine.

Are you eating enough? You may want to up your calorie intake!

When I hit a plateau, I change my workout. If I'm really pressing in with my workout, I may have to increase my calories. Also, I try to zig zag my calories. For example, if it's my rest day or a light workout, then I will eat on the low end of my calorie range. If it's an intense workout (Cardio & Strength Training), then I will eat on the high end of my calorie range. This really helped break my plateau as well as keep my body guessing.

I keep my head on straight, and remind myself that I am getting stronger and healthier everyday even if the scale don't move all the time in the direction I choose. Remembering that I am worth every bit of this effort. Wishing you lots of luck and a happy healthy week.
