Insanity day 4 today and Never Say Diet quotes day 1.

I did day 4 Cardio Recovery. It wasn't what I expected. It was a lot of stretching and strange moves. Definitely my least favorite so far. Anyway, I still felt like I wanted more of a workout. I did the Turbo Jam Lower Body dvd also. Someone commented on here that I may lose muscle that I gained in P90X by the end of Insanity. So, I will try to make sure to incorporate some of the strength training dvd's in between some Insanity workouts. Overall feeling great about these workouts and how much you sweat during them.

A book I have read this year that is helping me stay motivated and on track is called Never Say Diet by Chantel Hobbs. A lot of the book is her story, but there are so many good ideas and information in it that I would like to remember. I figured if I read back through what I highlighted and blog some of the thoughts; it may help me remember it and continue on this journey. So in the introduction on page 2 there are 2 sentences I want to quote here today.

"Your only hope for success is to decide not to allow anything to stand in your way."
"It will require discipline and hard work, but the return is greater than you can imagine: a permanent life change."

These sentences stood out to me because it is what I need. Determination! Don't let anything stand in my way. I don't want to be fat and forty. I DO want to lose weight!! How bad do I want it? Then the second quote reminds me that it will require discipline and hard work. I didn't get fat overnight, and I won't lose it overnight. I have to work for it, but it is totally worth it. Quit making excuses and get to work!
