Making it easier for us

Monday, April 30, 2007

Went and bought the fruits and veggies that Rich wanted for the week. I got home washed, cleaned and cut everything up. Refrig. is full of fresh stuff at the ready...which has been so nice today....want a pepper strip?? already cut up for us. I wish I would take the time to do that more often.

I did my run this morning and let me tell you, I DID NOT want to do it. I made myself get out there and JUST DO IT is what I kept telling myself over and over. Well, I did the first mile no trouble. I'm on my way back into the far subdivison and I see my friend walking. I decided at that moment I better not head that way cause if I did, I knew my walk would be over. I would of ended up stopping and chit-chatting and probably would of just walked with her. I changed the route and this morning I was convinced---I MEAN CONVINCED I had gone further. I got home went and clocked it....OMG it was a tenth of a mile SHORTER!! I think the main reason I thought it was longer was because of how my legs felt. I took less walking breaks, I only walked twice and it was 20 seconds and less...jsut like the 5k. I shaved more time off (8:48 for a mile). My inner thighs are a little sore, nothing like last week though but sore.
I'm gonna head out and just walk a quick mile and I think I may ask Johnathon if he wants to run later tonight. I hope that isn't over doing it for myself. I mean I have been running this route now since mid-March. To double it up....I feel I'm mentally ready to jump it up. I just don't know how much is a safe amount. I don't want to injury myself that is for sure.

All right until next time....
