6:30 am, DH took Alice and Sarge for a walk in the desert. I had a headache, so declined to go with them. However, I noticed the sky looked so pretty I asked if he would take pictures. He did a great job. Even took pictures of wildflowers.
I can't remember the name of this plant, but I love the color.
Alice picked a pretty spot to rest.
Sarge was checking out a bug.
Late afternoon I was taking pics of my Roses in the backyard.
Henley the Hound came over to say hello.
Oh...What did I hear???
It's over there somewhere.
Loki was thinking..."don't you drool on my fur"
Alice was watching DH
Our Silk Tree is looking good.
There were Bees flying around the blooms on the Silk Tree. Hope they show up.
I saw a Hummingbird checking out the tree as well, so we put up a Hummingbird feeder.
Love the clouds! We captured a tree like this on hike- I think it is one of the most beautiful trees I have ever seen. We thought it was called a mimosa tree and I see the are one in the same from looking it up online. I want one!!!!! pics all around!! 2970 days ago
Hi dear friend! I had a migraine for 3 days so I missed this one and I am catching up. I LOVE the cloud pictures! I wonder what makes the special designs. You can call them "Designs in the Sky". Glad to be back.
Loved the Silk Tree. One of my neighbors has something similar, and it's so lovely this time of year....the sky was looking beautiful, I know why you wanted those shots. We are having some serious/dangerous storms right now. The sky is as black as night and even the lightning doesn't seem to brighten it....it's pretty spooky and scary. It's daytime, it shouldn't be this dark! We've been having some pretty heavy weather lately, but this takes the cake! 2973 days ago
I've never heard of a silk tree before - such unique blossoms on it!
Your sky looks lovely. Ours is black and cloudy - we're experiencing severe rain now, and the lower areas of my community are flooding. It seems like this is our year for extreme weather. 2974 days ago
Always love your pics and your DH is about as talented with the shutterbugging as you!! Always enjoy seeing your critters, my friend!! They look like they'd be so much fun to cuddle with! Your "silk tree" (we call Mimosa tree) is really pretty! Ours are not expected to bloom till sometime in July. I have a small one in a pot that my DGD1 planted by seed 4 years ago. It's been repotted X3 and I think it may need to go bigger at least 1 more time. Maybe by then, I will have found a perfect place to put it in the ground. The trees grow wild everywhere here, but I'd like to be able to put one where it is not only good for the tree, but good for us to enjoy, too, without messing anything else up. (Can you tell I really need to channel my inner landscaper?) hehe Hope you are having a super great day and that your headache stays a thing in the past! (((HUGS))) 2974 days ago
Hope the headache is gone. Another travelogue courtesy of Jeanne! love the cloud formations, and the roses and the dogs - and Loki couldn't look more annoyed with being disturbed if you photoshopped it! Love that picture! Enjoy your day/weekl! 2974 days ago
