Tomorrow the son of my husband's youngest sister is getting married. Now mind you the girls are 9 years older than him, 8 years older than him, 7 years older than him, and 3 years older than him. She called me just now to ask if I have a camcorder they could use for the wedding because they want to get it on video. Really? You wait until the last minute to think of this? The wedding is tomorrow...since I have friends that live in the area we might have already left yet even to go stay with them an extra day since they not only live on the river, have central air, have 4 fenced in acres for me to run and sweat on, but they have a pool in the front yard as well. She knows we are staying there because she called me last week to ask if we were camping at their this heat? That's a joke right? Yea, no. She did not mention video camera then.
Yes, I have a video camera, but it is over 10 years old, I have not used it in at least 6 years, and in fact it has never left the box since we moved into this house 3 years ago. Everyone takes video with their digital cameras or cell phones now. I know because I took a video of my teenage daughter and her friends on my cell doing a bungee jump style thing at Michigan's adventure (the rip cord) and I also bought the video taken with their video camera and my video was better....pffff $15 for their stupid video wasted.

Anyway, I am dreading going to our friends because they make REALLY bad food choices and I am dreading this reception since I am on a 3 week loss streak with my weight and they do not have any healthy options on the menu. I'm a little irritated about the whole thing. Oh well, I will enjoy the AC and the pool.

You gotta wonder where some people's heads are at don't you!

On a possible brighter note ( I can feel you getting stressed out ) my philosophy about weekends like this is to just put SP on the back burner, realize that you are going to gain some water weight which will most likely take 3-4 days to get rid of, and enjoy yourself !

Oh, and btw, skip the cake emoticon

Sure hope you're able to put the negative feelings you're having a side and enjoy your weekend!
