It's true, there's no fool like an old fool!
In my attempt to find some exercise options for when I go back to school I've been checking out some evening classes at the gym. Yoga last night was great.
Tonight I tried a kettle bell class. I should have taken my first clue when I realized I was twice as old and twice as heavy as anyone else in the class! I expected it to focus on weight training, but didn't realize how intensely aerobic swinging those weights is for an old fat woman. The instructor was encouraging, but didn't show many options for adapting the moves to my fitness level. There wasn't much cool down or stretching at the end either.
Not one to back down, I doggedly hung in there, but I way over did! Now my thighs are twitchy, my knees are sore, and I can hardly move! I'll see how I feel tomorrow before I decide whether to try it again...if I live!
