So I started a blog last Friday to update you all and then chaos erupted! My cousin's son fell off the slide at school and broke his arm. I ended up spending the night at the hospital with them. She was so worried about falling asleep and missing something so I ended up staying up almost the entire night. I maybe got an hour of sleep. And it's amazing the way your metabolism kicks in when you're up all night. I was starving by the time 6 AM rolled around.
Here's the entry I had started:
"So, my 4 week SMART goal was to lose 4 pounds by October 18th.
L2L: 5 pounds!! (L2L = Left to Lose)
Grrr!! I stepped on that scale today and it was up a whole pound from last week. Even though I've been working so hard!!!! Grrr!! It's so frustrating!
The good news is that I've become a daily weigher recently. Because of this I know that my highest weight fluctuation this week was actually lower than the past 3 weeks. So I think my body definitely is noticing a difference."
My goals for last week were the same as Week 1.
- Complete 5 days of ChaLEAN Extreme
- Add 2 bonus cardio workouts
- Drink 8 glasses of water a day
- Fasting 2 times
Friday was supposed to be a fast day which ended up being a flop. Which was probably a good thing since I'd spent the day at the hospital. I'd worked out first thing that morning so I didn't miss my workout either.
Saturday I was exhausted and didn't get a chance to workout.
Sunday I was so proud of myself. I completed my ChaLEAN Extreme workout plus a bonus cardio session.
Monday I was working on a class project and ran out of time to workout. But I did get a fast in.
Tuesday I was running out of time as well, but decided to settle for a 12 minute Spark video instead of giving up on exercise all together.
Wednesday I did a mile from my walking DVD. I also fasted.
Thursday I finally got a chance to complete a ChaLEAN Extreme workout.
- Complete 5 days of ChaLEAN Extreme (3/5 days)
- Add 2 bonus cardio workouts (3/2 workouts)
- Drink 8 glasses of water a day (I was really bad at getting my water in this week. I reached my goal maybe 1-2 days)
- Fasting 2 times
L2L: 4.4 pounds
This week I'm changing up the goals a little bit. I realize I've bitten off a little more than I can chew. While I would love to complete the 90 day ChaLEAN Extreme challenge, I think it's best if I don't stick to a strict schedule.
This week's goals:
-Workout at least 5 days
-Drink 8 glasses of water
-Fast 2 times
I think these goals will help reduce my stress level. If I have time to do ChaLEAN I'll do it, if not I'll stick with some basic cardio that fits into my schedule.
Today was an equally crazy day. My mom wasn't feeling well and after work I spent 4 hours in the ER with her. Then had to run back out to the store to pick up her prescription and buy some groceries. Definitely made for another long day. Didn't get in enough water and haven't gotten a chance to exercise, but I'm not stressing it. The goal is to do better tomorrow.
