couple clarifications and an update on mom...

Wednesday, December 18, 2013

I guess for anyone who doesn't know I should clarify this is not my first marriage and I really don't want to put my children thru a divorce since my older girls and I went thru that and it was a disaster for them. They barely see their dad...I know my husband now isn't like that but still...right now he's here every day even if it's just for a few minutes and he does pay more attention to the dog than he does to the kids. As they get older they will see and they will want him around less which makes me sad but I want them to see why this is happening and they're really too young to do that right now. I love them so much...I don't want to make them miserable.
As for mom, she has finally agreed to at least come for Christmas. After she asked if I was going to invite her which I informed her I already had. So at least for a few days I'll have her here. It's a start. We're also in the process of figuring out the doggy door and fencing for her dogs. Should have done this before we had over a foot of snow...sigh

I'm glad your mom is coming for the holidays, it doesn't matter if this is your second marriage ... if your not happy the kids feel it also and in the long run it will be better for them.
