Dishs, Dishs, and More Dishs

Monday, January 27, 2014

Sometimes I feel like I am surrounded by dishes. I'm a single person, so it's not like there are other people to cook for. But in trying to be prepared and cook ahead, I use a ton of dishes. Today, for example as I came home and emptied my lunch bag, I had a container for my salad, a container for my strawberries, a container for my chicken, a container zucchini. To funny. I just laughed to myself. Now it's not that there all huge containers, but containers and dishes none the less. As I emptied everything out and filled my dishwasher again.. I just shook my head. All the work, all the mess, all the containers are working. But I just wondered what everyone else does.. Oh and don't let me forget zip locks. There getting there fair share of use as well. Because if it doesn't go into a container, it goes into a zip lock. That part is nice because then I can toss them. But that adds up after awhile.

I have to admit, in the beginning it was annoying to me, too, but I now find it as someone else mentinoed . . . a reminder that we're eating healthier, GETTING healthier and it's totally worth the little extra effort.

I am grateful for my dishwasher too!

I wash those things by hand. It just doesn't take all that long.

Find great deals on dishwasher detergent. emoticon

I had a bit of a frustration phase too, while loading and unloading for 4 of us. Then I decided to appreciate that the dishwasher filling up (again) means we're eating out less and less and with less wrappers -- which is healthier and less expensive than running the washer. Now it feels weird when the loads fall off.

Great job on the planning ahead! It will be your automatic norm before you know it!

I mostly do baggies, the cheaper the better. At home, paper plates whenever possible. We don't have a dishwasher anymore, and I get tired of cleaning up after everyone, so paper it is!
