Time for an update

Well, we managed to close on our house on the 31st. We started moving things that evening, and cleaned most of our stuff out of my mom's house the next day. We kept moving things from the apartment in our cars all the following week. This past weekend, DH's parents and his sister and her girlfriend came over to help us and check out the house. We managed to successfully move everything but a car load to the house. We'll be cleaning the apartment this weekend, though. We are in the house and loving it. My step counts are higher every day. I simply have to do more walking to get anywhere. We're even eating meals at the table again.
Earlier last month, I decided that I would start the 30 Day Shred when we moved into the house. We were officially in the house Saturday, but I didn't get the chance to start until last night. I really like the fact that there are different rooms I can work out in. In the apartment, I had to clean out a space to work in before I could actually work out. Here, there is space already.
Cooking is so much easier in this house. There's counter space everywhere, so I can prep without having to prioritize on what gets counter space and what doesn't.
All this extra movement has me down about 3 pounds in a little over a week. That's an awesome number, especially considering the fact that I ate what was available for a couple days. I've also come to the conclusion that I simply need to eat more. Apparently, 1200 calories simply isn't enough. 1600-2200 is where I need to aim, but I also need to increase my movement. That shouldn't be a problem, considering we'll have 60 degree weather this weekend (after snow and ice the past few days), and it should be dry and sunny.
