And I freely admit it. There would be no point in denying in when everyone who knows me would give me "that look"
I got my car back today from the shop. It only took 1 day (they thought it would be 2+) which was nice, because I only had the rental for 1 day of fees (discounted even, because they were working on mine. Nice!)
I nabbed my kid from school before lunch and we played hooky. He had wanted a brown suit or sport jacket for prom (last I had been told), and green bay was the nearest choice. So we went in the rental (had I spent 1 more day in my house, I would have gone totally, stark raving, batcrap crazy!)
Turned out as we talked on the way, he had changed his mind and didn't want a jacket after all?!! That was fine, it gave us more shopping $.
We started at fleetfarm (I made a wrong turn, lol) and got dog food, some stuff to start working on the house (I've been trying to scrape 60 years of paint off my woodwork for 2 years. I finally caved and bought chemicals to help), and some easter candy. I wanted the big bags, I bought the smallest. Yay.
We found a lot of our crafting stuff, so that was good. And we tried getting him a new cell. No dice. The guy at the phone store told us how to get him a used one and what website to use. At which point I told son to take my cell and go call grandma (my amazing, awesome MIL) and ask her if she would go online and shop with him and put it on my credit card. She found him phone he likes with case for under $70. Another victory.
We grabbed burger king for lunch. I had jr sandwich, 3 french fries and 4 onion rings. Another good step.
My legs were killing me, but we made a couple of other stops.
Not one of my smarter moves, because I hadn't bothered taking both crutches.
We had a lot of fun, though.
This morning, I went and picked my minivan up first thing. Then I went to the pool. I thought about waiting until tomorrow, but we all KNOW what happens then. I was smart and only did a half class, then some whirlpool time.
Then I had another "smooth move, dipsh*t" attack (that would be a direct quote. I clearly heard my dad's and cookie's voices in my head
) and went running errands.
Getting my glasses repaired was necessary, nothing else really was. But I ended up shopping at walmart (forgetting to stop in the pharmacy to pick up meds, no less), getting the estimate for the brakes on the van (it goes in tomorrow, for an hour), getting the oil changed, and filling the gas tank (none of which was done in any particular order, hehe).
Now I am home, carried in a crapload of stuff, left more in the van (kid is going to have stroke!) And paying for not pacing myself better.
I'm going to hit the sack tonight when kid goes to bed and get up at "oh crap early" and go to the pool. I have to get myself back in the habit. The scale this morning at the y said 212, which is better than 215, but not where I want it. I'm leaving the tracker at 209, so it won't scream at me if I lose more than 3 lbs this first few weeks.
Hubs has been amazing again this week. He made sure I had $ for work, play, car repairs, etc. He is so good to me. But he knows I won't fritter $ away when there are bills to pay. Which I also did this past 2 days.
It is SO nice when the bill$ is there before the bills!
So, tomorrow morning? I'm going to go take a SHORT workout again, then come home and rest my legs. The next shopping trip can wait til the weekend...or for hubs to get home. The gym is the only thing not negotiable at this point.
