Stop n Smell the roses One Petal @ A Time
Sunday, March 30, 2014
Today I went back to a church I used to go to. It was nice. I had a good time. The lesson was on wasted time and it really got me thinking about how many things I waste my time on. From my crazy mother to worrying about failing a class. In the end, no one is going to remember me for a C I made in Economic Geography. And, the endless worrying about something I have no control over is not going to get me anywhere.
Life can get hectic! Obviously, since I just wrote an 8 page paper for my Child Growth & Development class, have a test on Wednesday, as well as a paper for the Young Child w/Special Needs class, and then there is the Math homework I haven't started. Did I mention I also have to work full-time?
Juggling work, school, and life is hard, but I need to remember to take some time out for me. So I pledge to myself that I am going back to church. I'm going to do something that is good for me, and FUN! I'm going to spend some time reading with my Kindle, something that I used to really enjoy doing before I started going to college again and seemed to always have something to read. I need to stop and smell the roses and release my negative energy.
And, above all else, I pledge to continue my diet and exercise regime so that I can become healthy and lose the weight that I need to, not just want to.
Thanks for reading,
