March 31: There you are, Spring!

Monday, March 31, 2014

It's 54 outside right now. And yesterday there was snow on the ground. I just kind of laugh at this point and then enjoy opening my sunroof :)
Yesterday was good. I felt a little lost having an off day from the gym. I know my body needs it, but it was still weird! It had my grubby McD's breakfast and enjoyed a few Girl Scout cookies, but I was honestly quite good with food since I was left to my own devices.
I did all my work on my Beethoven class yesterday. I cleaned (the eternal struggle, lol.) so the house looked quite nice and tidy. I helped Mom out with a few things in the evening and my husband had a good day at work. Then we watched Cosmos, which is truly just a fantastic piece of television.
I went to bed later than I wanted; Mom and DH kept talking after the show and I was all ready for bed and in my pajamas by the time she left! I love her, but I was ready for sleep.
Because it was late, I ended up sleeping until 8 instead of getting up at 6 like I had wanted to. So my morning was backwards! I made DH a quiche for breakfast and ate my own while that baked. Then off to the gym, where I stayed on the treadmill for 35 minutes! I was only able to do 25 or 30 minutes last week :)
Then I've just been working on my to do list before going to help a friend this afternoon. Camp NaNo prep session with The Ink Stone tonight. Oh, and despite being broke, a fellow Junior League member has invited me and my husband to sit at her table as her guests at the Gala next weekend! It will be so fun! I wonder what I'll wear? Eap!

Sounds like the weather here in MD. I just went for a run, finally! It was 54 and breezy. Heck, I'll take it! Tomorrow it's supposed to be really nice before it gets all rainy again. It'll be nice when the trails dry out so i can go hiking on the weekends with my DH and 2 year old son.

    Soon, very soon.

Congratualtions on your run. THat's super exciting! Ar eyou training for any races or using any programs? I was never a runner until 3 years ago I started running consistently with C25K. Now I'm working on B210K. i still don't know how I'm going to run for over an hour straight, because that's how long it's going to take me to do it, but then I think, "That's exactly what I thought when I was starting the C25K program." We'll reach our goals eventually as long as we keep visualizing that finish line.
