Just -9 Pounds

Saturday, April 12, 2014

Ah, this morning was cruel. I didn't lose even a tenth of a pound!!
I wasn't crushed by it, just frustrated and a little sad. I think I will be a tiny bit bad and re-weigh myself tomorrow morning, just because I'm still in disbelief. But I'm not crushed because I do know going to the gym makes me feel better, and my pants fit a little nicer and because *I* know I'm trying and working at it.
Tonight was the Junior League Spring Gala and I had a nice time! The hubby came and he won us tickets to go up to Cleveland and here the symphony there. I've always wanted to!! Brilliant symphony, and Severance Hall is suppose to be such a beautiful venue! So excited :D We have to see what pieces we'll want to go to hear. Also talked with a women, whom at the time I did not know was a morning news anchor here in town, oops! But I told her about the one job I really want that I applied for and she gave me her contact info and thinks she might know someone who can help :crosses fingers:
All in all a good day, though it was busy! In the morning my friend had her level two muay tai test, then I was off to brunch with a friend of half the afternoon, and then all my computer time has been working on wrapping up my Beethoven class! Week four down, assignment two done, now to just wrap up week five, yay! I should finish this course with distinction as well, hehe.

If it's one thing I've learned in this journey it's not to solely rely on the scale. Take your measurements and take pictures. The scale lies, that is the truth! You never know if your body is carrying extra water that day and also remember that muscle weighs more than fat. You are doing the right things and making meaningful change. You said so yourself your pants fit better, that's a victory in itself!

The scale is a miserly liar. Loose pants NEVER lie. Your body is adjusting. The scale will have to give sooner or later.

How fun! I would love to win tickets and be able to go! Sounds like you had a great day and scales are habitual liars, lol. Let those looser pants be your guide

If you have a good plan ... and you are working the plan ... then the scale owes you. Just keep doing the right thing. The scale will catch up with you.
